1. 'Resurrection' (2025)

Visionary director Bi Gan delivers a hauntingly surreal experience with 'Resurrection'. While technically a sci-fi drama, its deep descent into nightmarish imagery makes it a must-watch for horror enthusiasts. The film is set in a world where humanity has traded its ability to dream for immortality. Those who refuse to surrender their dreams—known as 'Deliriants'—take refuge in the world of cinema. The film follows a woman who hunts a Deliriant, only to find herself trapped in a journey spanning a century of film styles, including a chilling vampire romance. It currently boasts a 91% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes.

2. 'Heretic' (2024)

If you are looking for a psychological thriller that will get under your skin, 'Heretic' is a stellar choice. Hugh Grant delivers a mesmerizing and deeply unsettling performance as Mr. Reed, a man who invites two young missionaries into his home under the guise of learning about their faith. The story quickly evolves into a tense, claustrophobic nightmare as the protagonists realize they are trapped in a deadly, intellectual puzzle box. It is a sharp, sophisticated horror film that proves Grant is a force to be reckoned with in the genre.

3. 'MaXXXine' (2024)

The conclusion to Ti West’s celebrated 'X' trilogy, 'MaXXXine' brings the story of aspiring starlet Maxine Minx (Mia Goth) to a stylish, neon-drenched finish. Set in 1980s Los Angeles, the film follows Maxine as she finally lands a major movie role, only to find herself stalked by a mysterious killer during a wave of murders targeting young actresses. While Goth remains as hypnotic as ever, the film thrives on its period-accurate aesthetic. Note: For the full experience, it is highly recommended to stream the preceding films, 'X' and 'Pearl', which are currently available on platforms like Tubi.
