90 people transferred to a nursing home in Lyon due to a fire

A Korian nursing home, located on Rue Dunoir in Lyon's 3rd arrondissement, was affected by a fire on Tuesday, March 10, BFM Lyon learned from the prefecture.

The blaze broke out early in the morning, around 6:30 a.m., in the technical room located in the building's basement. The fire started on a hot water tank.

90 people had to be evacuated from the area and transferred to a secure section of the building. Nearly 80 firefighters were mobilized on site and quickly brought the fire under control. The premises were ventilated, and residents were able to resume their routines with staff. Power will be restored shortly. No injuries were reported.
