A Bon Jovi biopic is in development by Universal.
Bon Jovi's career will be chronicled on screen. According to the media outlet Deadline, a biopic about the history of the American band, starring singer Jon Bon Jovi, is in development at Universal Studios. Cody Brotter, Pete Davidson, and Casey Affleck are writing the screenplay. For now, neither the name of the director nor those of the actors chosen to portray the band members have been revealed.
Telling the story of the band's rise
Formed in 1983, the quartet Bon Jovi has sold over 130 million albums. Famous for their hits Livin' on a Prayer, You Give Love a Bad Name and It's My Life, the rock band from New Jersey was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame.
According to Deadline, Universal – which previously produced the musical biopics Straight Outta Compton and 8 Mile – hopes that this project will tell the story of "the formative years and key milestones that led the band to the point where their rock anthems filled venues worldwide."
