Actress Jennifer Runyon, known for her role in "Ghostbusters", has died at age 65.
"It is with immense sadness that I announce the passing of my friend Jennifer Runyon Corman, following a battle with cancer. There are some people with whom you know immediately that you will become friends even before you meet them. She was an exceptional woman," she wrote in the caption of a photo of them.
Ghostbusters and Beverly Hills
Born on April 1, 1960, in Chicago, Jennifer Runyon began her film career in the movie Terror in the Night in 1983.
But the two major roles of her career will remain those in the famous comedy Ghostbusters - Ghostbusters in French - by Ivan Reitman, released in 1984 or in the sitcom on the American channel CBS, Charles Takes Charge. Jennifer Runyon played the character of Gwendolyn Pierce in the first season, appearing in 18 episodes in 1984 and 1985. The actress also starred in the TV movie *A Very Brady Christmas* and *The In Crowd*, a teen drama film directed by Mark Rosenthal in 1988. She also appeared in the 1980s and 90s in the series *The Fall Guy*, *Magnum, P.I.*, *Who's the Boss?*, *Quantum Leap*, *Murder, She Wrote*, and *Beverly Hills, 90210*. She also appeared in the film *18 Again!* directed by Paul Flaherty in 1988. Her last screen appearance was in 2025, in the horror-comedy Spectral Squad: The Haunting of Sophie Lawson.
