Charlotte Cardin, Massive Attack, MC Solaar... The Nuits de Fourvière festival celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2026.
Disco, folk, and even masked balls will set the rhythm for the Nuits de Fourvière to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Lyon festival, with star guests such as Charlotte Cardin, Massive Attack, MC Solaar, and Sébastien Tellier.
From May 28 to July 25, 110 concerts and theater, dance, and circus performances, including 16 original creations, will take place in the iconic Roman sites on Fourvière Hill, rediscovered 80 years ago, as well as in eight other locations in the Lyon metropolitan area.
The Australian circus troupe Circa will open the festivities with three world premiere performances of their show "Revoir les étoiles" (Seeing the Stars Again).
Among the international stars invited are Canadian Charlotte Cardin, named Female Artist of the Year at the 2026 Victoires de la Musique awards, the British group Massive Attack, New Zealand singer Lorde, returning after a four-year absence, and American Jack White, former frontman of The White Stripes.
The French music scene will be represented, among others, by Vanessa Paradis, who will give two concerts at the Grand Théâtre, Sébastien Tellier, known for his electro hit "La Ritournelle," and MC Solaar, who will present a new work specially created for the Nuits de Montréal with rapper Youssoupha.
For this edition For its anniversary, eight balls will invite the public to don masks alongside the performers of the Parisian cabaret Madame Arthur, to participate in choreographer Philippe Decouflé's "dance karaoke," or even to put on roller skates under the glow of disco balls. In 2025, the Nuits de Fourvière festival attracted 176,000 spectators, representing a record attendance rate of 92%.
