Facebook is ready to pay thousands of dollars to attract TikTok and YouTube stars

As the social media war now revolves around content creators, Meta is accelerating its strategy.

Indeed, the group is seeking to reposition Facebook as an essential destination in the face of TikTok and YouTube, which currently dominate the influencer economy.

And to this end, the company has just unveiled a new program that aims to attract creators already established elsewhere… without them having to rebuild their audience from scratch.

Guaranteed revenue to accelerate adoption

As can be read in the official press release, with “Creator Fast Track”, Meta offers a simple mechanism: pay creators to publish on Facebook. Profiles with at least 100,000 followers on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube can earn up to $1,000 per month. Even better, those with over a million followers can earn up to $3,000 per month. This initiative is accompanied by another incentive: an amplification of content reach, particularly for Reels. For three months, creators benefit from an algorithmic boost to accelerate their growth on the platform. Meta is thus seeking to overcome a well-identified obstacle: the difficulty of standing out on a network where the audience is already saturated. To this end, the group even promises to extend the visibility of content, if necessary, beyond the payment period.

Another distinctive feature is that creators are not required to produce exclusive content and can republish their existing videos, provided they are original.

A strategic offensive against TikTok and YouTube

This initiative is part of a broader strategy, as Meta already stated in 2025 that it had paid Nearly $3 billion for creators, a 35% year-over-year increase. According to the company, a majority of this revenue comes from short-form content, demonstrating that Facebook is gradually aligning itself with the trends popularized by TikTok after establishing Reels.

The program also aims to correct a historical imbalance, because despite its more than 3 billion users, Facebook struggles to attract creators who prefer platforms considered more dynamic.

New monetization tools?

To enhance its appeal, Meta is also facilitating access to its monetization tools. For example, creators enrolled in the program can benefit from them immediately, without restrictions. They will then be able to continue generating revenue through subscriptions, donations, or brand partnerships.

Finally, new indicators are being introduced to improve the transparency of earnings. Among them are metrics that allow users to distinguish between truly monetizable views or to estimate the revenue generated per 1,000 views.

With this offensive, Meta is therefore attempting to reposition Facebook at the heart of the creator economy, by relying on a mix of direct compensation and algorithmic visibility…
