George Michael: an unreleased film based on footage from his "The Faith Tour" will be released in cinemas
The film had disappeared. George Michael: The Faith Tour, a feature film based on the recordings of the singer's 1988 concerts, will finally be released in theaters. According to Deadline, which broke the news on March 10, the film, directed by the singer's longtime collaborators Andy Morahan and David Austin, is composed of footage shot at the Palais Omnisport Paris Bercy on May 30 and 31, 1988. This film accompanies the release of an 18-track album, including some previously unreleased songs, by the singer who passed away almost ten years ago. The album, produced by George Michael Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment will contain previously unreleased recordings by George Michael, as well as those of Wham!, the group he formed in the early 1980s with his friend Andrew Ridgeley. The Faith Tour was the tour George Michael undertook from February to October 1988, in support of his first solo album, Faith, released in 1987. Some dates of this tour were canceled, others postponed, due to George Michael's health problems. The singer was suffering from a throat cyst at the time. The tour ended in July 1989 in Spain, with three rescheduled concerts.
