Infomaniak aims to scale up with a €200 million investment in cloud and AI.

As debates surrounding digital sovereignty intensify in Europe, some players are seeking to strengthen their position. This is particularly true of Infomaniak, a Swiss cloud service provider that claims an ethical and independent approach.

Driven by sustained growth in several European markets, the Geneva-based company is now embarking on a new phase of development.

Between strengthening its governance and a massive investment plan in its infrastructure, the goal is to gain industrial capacity to compete with the international cloud giants…

A 200 million investment plan for cloud and AI

In an official press release, we learn that Infomaniak plans to invest approximately 200 million Swiss francs, or nearly 185 million euros, over the next few years. This funding should enable the company to accelerate the development of its infrastructure and services. This plan is structured around three pillars, starting with the strengthening of data centers located in Switzerland to increase hosting capacity. The company also wants to develop its AI solutions, particularly around its Euria AI. Finally, these investments will be accompanied by a recruitment effort in engineering and research and development. This strategy aims to meet the growing demand for so-called "sovereign" cloud solutions, hosted and operated in Europe, without dependence on American platforms like AWS or Google Cloud. Growth figures confirm this momentum. In 2025, Infomaniak achieved a revenue of 56 million Swiss francs, representing growth of over 50% in three years. This expansion was particularly strong in Germany (+69%) and Italy (+59%), while France and Belgium each recorded a 19% increase.

Strengthened Governance to Support Growth

To support this change in scale, the company has also decided to evolve its governance, with two new members joining its board of directors.

Paul Such, a recognized figure in cybersecurity in Switzerland, brings over twenty years of experience in the sector. Founder of SCRT, which became Orange Cyberdefense Switzerland, he now heads Swiss Post Cybersecurity.

For her part, Patricia Solioz Mathys joins the board as vice-president. Formerly the general manager of Lausanne Regional Public Transport, she led a network carrying over 130 million passengers annually and an organization of nearly 2,000 employees. Its experience in managing complex public infrastructures should contribute to structuring the company's growth.

A rare model of independence in the cloud

In a sector dominated by large international groups, Infomaniak has the distinction of having all of its capital held by approximately 10% of its employees.

With this new phase of investment and expanded governance, Infomaniak now intends to consolidate its position among European sovereign cloud players, at a time when the issue of the continent's digital autonomy is gradually becoming a priority in technology policies…
