The Israeli ambassador to France asserts that the new Iranian supreme leader must "fundamentally" change the regime or risk being "eliminated".

Israeli Ambassador to France Joshua Zarka declared on BFMTV-RMC that the new Supreme Leader must "fundamentally" change the regime, or risk being "eliminated" like his father.

Joshua Zarka, Israel's ambassador to France, asserted this Tuesday, March 10, on BFMTV-RMC that the objective of the war against Iran is for the regime to change "fundamentally," by agreeing to "live in peace" with Israel and its neighbors.

"All the top layers of the leadership of this regime have fallen, have been eliminated. Mojtaba (Khamenei), who is the son of the previous Supreme Leader, is not the one the Iranians wanted to choose as their successor," the ambassador declared.

Threats against Mojtaba Khamenei

"If he continues to follow the same line as his father, he will also be on the list of those who must be eliminated," he continued, specifying that Mojtaba Khamenei's chief of staff had already been "eliminated" before the appointment of the new supreme leader.

While Donald Trump declared that the conflict was "soon to be over," the Israeli ambassador to France confirmed that the fighting should last "a few weeks" at most. "I can't tell you exactly how many weeks, but we are ahead of schedule on our war objectives," he asserted. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, for his part, stated on Tuesday that his country was prepared to fight "for as long as necessary" against the United States and Israel. He added that negotiations with Washington "are no longer on the agenda." Iran's Revolutionary Guards declared on Monday, in response to Donald Trump's remarks, that they "will decide the end of the war." The Iranian Ministry of Health indicated on Monday that more than 1,200 people had been killed, including approximately 200 women and 200 children under the age of 12, and that more than 10,000 civilians had been wounded in the Israeli and US airstrikes. The US-based NGO Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) reported on Monday at least 1,708 deaths, including 1,205 civilians—among them at least 194 children—as well as 187 military personnel and 316 people whose status was not specified.
