This new feature could transform Gemini Live into a very personal assistant.

Since its launch in 2024, Gemini Live, the voice interface capable of real-time dialogue with the user, has been one of the features that has gradually gained popularity.

Today, several clues suggest that Google is working behind the scenes on a major evolution of this conversational mode. Indeed, according to information found in a recent version of the Google app on Android by Android Authority, Gemini Live could soon integrate a feature called "Personal Intelligence".

This development would aim to make the assistant much more contextualized, by directly leveraging data from the Google services used by the user…

Gemini Live could use your Google services to respond

The clues come from an analysis of the Google app's code (version 17.9.50 for Android), where several code snippets refer to the integration of "Personal Intelligence" in Gemini Live. This feature, unveiled by Google in early 2026, allows AI to connect to various services within the Google ecosystem, such as Gmail, Photos, YouTube, and search history. The goal would then be to provide much more personalized responses. For example, if a user asks Gemini what time their flight departs, the assistant could retrieve the information directly from the confirmation email received in Gmail. With Gemini Live, this logic would be directly accessible by voice, transforming the experience into an assistant capable of taking into account the user's personal context. Towards a more relational assistant? Currently, Gemini Live already functions as a conversational voice assistant capable of naturally engaging with the user, including about what appears on the screen or in the environment. However, the integration of "Personal Intelligence" could profoundly change the experience, because rather than providing generic answers from the web, the AI would be able to use the user's personal context to produce more relevant responses. Note that this approach aligns perfectly with the current strategy. from Google, which is looking to strengthen the integration between Gemini and its various services. The objective seems clear: to transform the assistant into a tool capable of understanding the user's daily life, and not just their questions.

A still uncertain rollout…

For now, Google has not released any official information regarding the arrival of Personal Intelligence in Gemini Live, and the clues only come from a prototype spotted in an internal version of the application.

It therefore remains impossible to know when the feature will be available, or in what form it will be offered. Especially since at its launch, “Personal Intelligence” was initially reserved for Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers before being gradually opened to more users. A similar scenario could therefore be repeated for Gemini Live.

Finally, this development also raises questions about data privacy. While Google already states that access to services like Gmail or Photos is based on user consent and can be configured in the settings, these issues could become even more significant…
