The JMGO N3 Ultimate has arrived, marking a significant evolution in the company's projector lineup. While it retains the signature gimbal design of its predecessors, it is packed with under-the-hood upgrades that make it a formidable competitor in the high-end home theater market.
Advanced Design and Versatility
The standout feature of the N3 Ultimate is its newly motorized gimbal stand, which allows for effortless remote adjustments. This flexibility is complemented by extensive optical zoom and physical lens shift capabilities (53% horizontal and 130% vertical), which enable a perfectly squared 4K image even in rooms with challenging placement constraints. Although it lacks levelling feet on the base, the optical adjustment hardware is robust enough to make manual, digital corrections largely unnecessary.
Performance and Brightness
With an impressive 5,800 ISO lumens, the N3 Ultimate is engineered to combat ambient light. While it may not provide the deepest black levels seen in specialized dark-room projectors like the Xgimi Titan Noir, its extreme brightness makes it a superior choice for living rooms, patios, or any environment where total light control is not an option. Content is vibrant, with full RGB laser projection offering a stunning DCI-P3 color gamut coverage of 94%.
Gaming Capabilities
Gamers will appreciate the N3 Ultimate's performance. When switched to Game Mode, it delivers a low-latency experience suitable for competitive play. Furthermore, the device supports 1080p at 240Hz with VRR, effectively eliminating screen tearing and providing a response time that rivals high-end gaming displays.
User Experience and Audio
The projector runs on Google TV, providing a seamless, familiar interface with access to a vast library of streaming apps. However, the built-in 12.5W dual speakers are underwhelming. For an immersive cinematic experience, connecting an external soundbar via the eARC HDMI 2.1 port is highly recommended.
The Verdict
At a $2,999 price point, the JMGO N3 Ultimate is a serious investment. While it faces stiff competition, its combination of extreme brightness, motorized optical adjustments, and solid gaming features makes it an excellent all-rounder. If you are struggling with a difficult room layout or unwanted ambient light, the N3 Ultimate is a top-tier solution.
