Prime Video Top 10 Movies: The 3 Best Films Worth Watching This Week (Oct. 19-25)

Introduction to This Week's Prime Video Top 10

As we edge closer to Halloween, Amazon Prime Video's top 10 movie chart is suitably stacked with thrills, chills, and emotional dramas. Combing through the platform's weekly hits can be overwhelming, but we've sifted through the noise to highlight the three standout films genuinely worthy of your streaming time this week (October 19–25).

While the top 10 chart isn't always packed with cinematic masterpieces, this week's trio offers a fantastic mix: an emotional drama starring Margaret Qualley, the latest installment in a legendary slasher franchise, and a light-hearted criminal caper led by the ever-charming Stanley Tucci. Grab your treats and get ready to laugh, cry, and gasp.

1. 'Love of Your Life' (2026)

Prepare the tissues for a gripping and emotional new drama. Following nurse Maya (Margaret Qualley), the story kicks off when a pandemic-related tragedy in Boston prompts her to relocate to Europe. Living as a reclusive digital nomad, Maya flits through unfulfilling casual relationships that only serve to amplify her unresolved grief.

Margaret Qualley delivers another stellar performance in the leading role, anchoring a narrative that is beautifully shot across globe-hopping locations like Lisbon, Luxembourg, and Tokyo. Fun fact: the movie is produced by Ryan Gosling, though fans expecting a high-octane thriller like Drive will find a much more sincere, grounded drama here.

2. 'Scream 7' (2026)

Horror fans rejoice: Sidney Prescott is officially back in the iconic slasher franchise after star Neve Campbell sat out the sixth installment due to a pay dispute. As one of horror's ultimate final girls, seeing Campbell return to face off against another iteration of Ghostface is an absolute treat.

This seventh entry keeps things remarkably fresh by leaning into modern anxieties, playing cleverly with AI deepfakes to deliver surprising cameos. Highlight moments include an opening scene set in the original film's infamous house and a brilliantly gruesome kill sequence that feels straight out of the Final Destination playbook.

3. 'Masterplan' (2026)

If you prefer your movies light, breezy, and full of international flair, Masterplan is a must-watch. Starring Stanley Tucci—who seemingly requires an Italy setting clause in all his contracts—the film kicks off with a high-stakes heist in Lake Como before moving its primary action to Paris.

Tucci plays a talented thief teaming up with ambitious up-and-coming heist artists Chiara (Simona Tabasco) and Jay (Victor Belmondo) with one ultimate goal: stealing the Mona Lisa from the Louvre. A clever early plot twist connects the crew in unexpected ways, making this good-natured crime comedy an immensely entertaining ride.
