Introduction to Your Weekend Streaming Lineup

Between Hulu and Disney+, there's no shortage of fantastic television options to keep you glued to your screen this weekend. Hulu boasts an impressive catalog of hit series sourced from Disney-owned networks like FX and ABC, while Disney+ serves as a premier destination for exclusive anime and the expansive Marvel universe. If you are looking for the absolute best way to spend your downtime from October 9 to October 11, we have curated a list of three newly added shows and new episode releases that demand a spot on your watchlist.

1. 'American Horror Story: 13'

Genre: Horror

'American Horror Story' reaches a massive milestone with its 13th season, leaning playfully into the superstitious unluckiest number to deliver another spine-chilling narrative. Staying true to the anthology format, this season tells an entirely self-contained story while weaving in beloved characters from multiple prior seasons. Most excitingly, the latest installment marks the triumphant return of fan-favorite horror icon Jessica Lange. Over the years, creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have taken viewers through haunted houses, coven academies, freak shows, and the apocalypse, ensuring season 13 taps deep into that terrifying lore.

With over 100 Emmy nominations and hundreds of millions of global streaming hours under its belt, AHS remains an absolute juggernaut of television horror. If you appreciate theatrical scares, shocking twists, and powerhouse performances, this is essential October viewing.

2. 'Scrubs' Season 2

Genre: Medical Comedy

The highly praised ABC 'Scrubs' revival is back at Sacred Heart Hospital for its second season, successfully reuniting the core sitcom crew that made the original series legendary. Zach Braff returns as the whimsical, daydreaming physician J.D., alongside Donald Faison as his inseparable best friend Turk and Sarah Chalke as the brilliant Elliot. Additionally, John C. McGinley reprises his iconic role as the hilariously acerbic Dr. Cox.

Season 2 raises the emotional stakes by injecting a deeper, more serious narrative tone into the classic workplace comedy. When Dr. Cox faces a severe autoimmune illness that defies standard treatments, J.D. rallies the entire hospital team to support him, balancing heartfelt drama with signature comedic timing.

3. 'Tokyo Revengers: War of the Three Titans Arc'

Genre: Action Anime

For anime enthusiasts, the hit time-travel saga 'Tokyo Revengers' has officially kicked off its explosive final arc, adapting Ken Wakui's best-selling manga. The story centers on Takemichi Hanagaki, a down-on-his-luck young adult who discovers he can leap twelve years into the past to alter a tragic timeline. By infiltrating a notorious delinquent gang, he fights to save the people he loves.

In the 'War of the Three Titans' arc, Takemichi is thrust into a massive, multi-sided gang war involving the Tokyo Manji Gang, Rokuhara Tandai, and Brahman, all locked in a brutal power struggle for supremacy over Kanto. It is a thrilling blend of high-stakes time travel, intense emotional drama, and hard-hitting action.
