I Review Smartwatches — And My Favorite Garmin is Finally Back on Sale

Introduction to the Garmin Instinct 3 Deal

Garmin manufactures an extensive lineup of smartwatches, leaving consumers with dozens of models to choose from. As a dedicated smartwatch expert who has tested nearly every current Garmin device on the market, I often get asked which one stands out from the rest. Without a doubt, my personal favorite is the Garmin Instinct 3. Better yet, for outdoor enthusiasts and tech lovers looking for an upgrade, this rugged wearable is finally back on sale.

Amazon has dropped the price of the Garmin Instinct 3 by a massive $100, bringing the cost of the 45mm AMOLED model down from $449 to $349. Whether you decide to grab this deal immediately or monitor price fluctuations throughout the week, the Instinct 3 remains an exceptional value for anyone needing a reliable, adventure-ready companion.

Tough-As-Nails Design Built for Extremes

When it comes to durability, the Garmin Instinct 3 punches well above its weight class. Even the latest flagship competitors struggle to match the Instinct 3’s epic water-resistance rating of 100 meters—a capability shared with high-end extreme sports watches, making it suitable for high-impact water sports and even scuba diving.

The watch features a shock-resistant case equipped with an oversized, metal-reinforced bezel that provides maximum screen protection against accidental drops and impacts. As an added bonus for outdoor explorers, this model integrates a powerful LED flashlight right into the top of the watch case, proving immensely useful during early morning runs or late-night trail navigation.

Epic Battery Life That Beats the Competition

Battery anxiety is a common pain point for modern smartwatch users, but the Garmin Instinct 3 completely obliterates this issue. Even if you choose the vibrant AMOLED screen variant rather than the longer-lasting solar-charging MIP display, the Instinct 3 delivers extraordinary endurance. It can last up to 24 days in standard smartwatch mode or provide up to 86 hours of continuous GPS tracking and heart rate monitoring on a single charge, easily outlasting competitors from Apple, Google, and Samsung.

An Accurate and Reliable Outdoor Companion

Beyond its robust build and phenomenal battery life, the Garmin Instinct 3 has proven time and again to offer tracking accuracy on par with devices costing more than double its price. It is my absolute go-to wearable for logging outdoor expeditions, whether I am snowboarding down snowy peaks, hiking rugged mountain trails, mountain climbing, cycling through city streets, or taking on e-mountain biking adventures.
