Steam Offers Two Free Games to Play and Two Permanent DLC Gifts

Discover Steam's Latest Weekend Promotions

Steam has once again kicked off its highly anticipated weekend promotions, giving players the opportunity to dive into fantastic titles without spending a dime. Alongside temporary free-to-play periods for critically acclaimed games, the platform is also offering permanent additions and cosmetic packs that users can claim and keep forever. Whether you are looking for intense multiplayer action or immersive survival experiences, this weekend's lineup has something special for every PC gamer.

Battlefield 6 and Stranded Deep Available to Play Free

The standout feature of this weekend's promotion is the chance to test out major titles entirely for free. Leading the charge is Battlefield 6, developed by Battlefield Studios and published by Electronic Arts. To celebrate the rollout of Season 5, the publishers have made the premier first-person shooter free to play on Steam until October 19, 2026, at 7:00 PM. Players can jump straight into large-scale, next-gen warfare across various modes.

For those looking for a completely different atmosphere, Stranded Deep is also available as a free trial until the exact same deadline. Developed by Beam Team Games, this survival adventure places players in the middle of the Pacific Ocean following a plane crash. Facing harsh elements and terrifying wildlife encounters on land and at sea, every playthrough offers a fresh and perilous test of survival skills.
