007 First Light: Massive Free 'Extended Operations' DLC Released with New Content

IO Interactive has officially unveiled 'Extended Operations', a substantial and completely free DLC for the hit title 007 First Light. Following the game's immense success with over 4 million copies sold, the developers are doubling down on support, providing fans with a wealth of new content that elevates the secret agent experience to new heights.

Expanding the World of 007

Dominic Vega, the game director, emphasized that this update is a direct response to community feedback. Among the highlights is the reintroduction of the iconic Aston Martin Valhalla. Players can now put this high-performance vehicle to the test across a new race track available in four distinct atmospheric variations, allowing for different lighting and challenges depending on the time of day.

New Missions and Arsenal

The DLC introduces a brand-new operation titled 'Jungle Heist', which transports James Bond into a fresh, exotic environment. To ensure players are prepared for the mission, IO Interactive has added two powerful weapons to the armory: the precise 'Squire Marksman' assault rifle and the high-impact 'Storm 12 Gauge' shotgun. Additionally, fans of customization will be pleased with the inclusion of three fresh outfits to ensure Bond remains as stylish as ever while on duty.

New Game+ and Advanced Challenges

For those seeking a true test of skill, the update includes a robust New Game+ mode. This feature allows players to retain their unlocked cosmetic items while facing a revamped, significantly higher difficulty level. As the developers have noted, 'This is not for amateurs,' promising a punishing experience for seasoned veterans.

Immersion and Photography

Creativity is also a focus of this update, with the introduction of a comprehensive Photo Mode. Players can now capture cinematic shots of their adventures, with advanced controls for lighting, pose adjustments, and camera positioning. This mode is the perfect tool for documenting your interactions with the game's newest star, Jack—a charming dog who now serves as the MI6 mascot. With this generous free update, IO Interactive continues to solidify 007 First Light as a premier action title for 2026.
