How to Watch NFL Football Games for Free in 2026

For NFL fans, the rising costs of traditional broadcasting and streaming subscriptions have made following every game increasingly difficult. However, football enthusiasts can still catch action without breaking the bank. Several international broadcasters offer free-to-air coverage, and with the right tools, you can access these streams even while traveling.

Global Free-to-Air Options

Depending on your location, you can watch select NFL matchups throughout the regular season and postseason for free:

• Australia: 7Plus offers coverage of three regular-season games per week, including Thursday Night Football, as well as comprehensive postseason coverage through to the Super Bowl.
• New Zealand: TVNZ Plus provides access to three Sunday games each week, along with full postseason and Super Bowl coverage.
• United Kingdom: Channel 5’s 'NFL on 5' service broadcasts two Sunday games weekly and offers one game from each round of the playoffs.
• Ireland: Virgin Media Play hosts one Sunday game per week, plus select playoff fixtures and the season finale.

How to Watch from Anywhere

If you are traveling outside of these regions, you may encounter geographical restrictions. A Virtual Private Network (VPN) can help you bypass these blocks by allowing you to route your internet connection through a server in a supported country. This makes your device appear as if it is located in the region where the content is broadcast legally.

Using a VPN for Sports Streaming

1. Subscribe to a reputable VPN service such as IPVanish.
2. Download and install the VPN application on your preferred streaming device.
3. Connect to a server located in the country where the free stream is available (e.g., Australia for 7Plus).
4. Navigate to the broadcaster's website or app and enjoy the game.
