For those looking to maximize their couch time, HBO Max has unveiled a packed schedule of new premieres, returning seasons, and classic cinema additions to keep viewers entertained throughout the month.

Top Picks for October

This month, the platform is doubling down on high-stakes drama and psychological thrills.

'War' (Season 5) Kicking off the month on October 1, the fifth season of 'War' continues the intense saga of London's elite divorce lawyers. As rival firms Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne face off, the divorce case between tech mogul Morgan Henderson (played by Dominic West) and international film star Carla Duval (Sienna Miller) threatens to dismantle everything. The arrival of ambitious new lawyer Johnny Warren (Archie Renaux) only adds more fuel to the fire.

'Rage' (Part 2) Returning on October 9, the second part of 'Rage' promises more intensity. The series delves into a market-driven system that exploits personal humiliation for public consumption. Directed by Félix Sabroso, this season features an impressive cast including Maribel Verdú, Carmen Maura, and Cecilia Suárez as they seek vengeance against the machine that wronged them.

'The Housemaid' Also arriving on October 9 is the psychological thriller 'The Housemaid,' based on the best-selling novel by Freida McFadden. Sydney Sweeney stars as Millie, a woman haunted by her past who secures a live-in position for the wealthy Nina (Amanda Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar). What begins as a dream opportunity quickly unravels into a dangerous game of manipulation, power, and dark secrets.
