New on Prime Video in October 2026: Top New Movies and Shows to Stream This Month

Introduction to Prime Video's October 2026 Lineup

As the crisp autumn weather settles in, Amazon Prime Video is gearing up for a massive month of entertainment. October 2026 brings an exciting array of new movies, returning fan-favorite series, and high-profile adaptations to the streaming platform. While Prime Video continues to roll out its full calendar, several standout titles have already captured the attention of streaming enthusiasts looking to curate their fall watchlists.

Top Picks for October 2026

'Carrie' (October 7)

One of the most highly anticipated series debuts of fall 2026 is Carrie, a bold eight-episode television adaptation of Stephen King’s classic 1974 debut novel. Spearheaded by Mike Flanagan, this reimagining digs deeper into the source material—which originally utilized news excerpts and transcripts—to offer a wider perspective on Carrie White's tragic story and telekinetic powers. Starring Summer H. Howell as the sheltered high-school student and Samantha Sloyan as her fiercely protective mother, Margaret, the series builds toward a devastating night that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats.

'Love Of Your Life' (October 14)

For those seeking something heartfelt, Love of Your Life delivers a sweeping romantic drama directed by Oscar-nominated cinematographer Rachel Morrison. Rather than a standard rom-com, this film explores the evolution of relationships over several years and across the globe. It follows Maya (Margaret Qualley), a nurse whose life is upended after a sudden tragedy shatters her future with Charlie (Gabriel Basso). Featuring an ensemble cast that includes Aaron Pierre, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Catherine Keener, it is an emotional journey about picking up the pieces and finding what comes next.

'Helluva Boss' Season 3 (October 14)

Animation fans have a reason to celebrate as Helluva Boss returns for its third and biggest season yet. The adult dark comedy kicks off its record-breaking 15-episode season with the first seven episodes dropping mid-month. Blitzo, Moxxie, Millie, Loona, and the rest of the I.M.P. crew are back with their signature chaotic humor, extreme action, and unfiltered adult jokes as they juggle complex personal relationships and dangerous assignments in both Earth and Hell.

'Masterplan' (October 16)

Action and heist enthusiasts will want to mark their calendars for Masterplan, Amazon's first major Franco-Italian English-language co-production. Filmed extensively on location across France and Italy, the movie stars Stanley Tucci as a legendary thief named Roger, who recruits a skilled cybersecurity expert (Simona Tabasco) and an explosives specialist (Victor Belmondo) to steal the Mona Lisa from the Louvre—only to discover they are long-lost siblings employed by their own father.

'The Terminal List' Season 2 (October 21)

After a four-year hiatus, Chris Pratt returns as James Reece in the explosive second season of The Terminal List. Adapting Jack Carr’s second novel, True Believer, this season takes Reece on a globe-spanning mission across the Indian Ocean, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Working alongside technical advisors with real military backgrounds, the series promises high-stakes tactical authenticity as Reece confronts an international conspiracy with deep ties to his own past.

Conclusion

October 2026 is shaping up to be an unforgettable month for Amazon Prime Video subscribers. Whether you are looking for spine-chilling horror adaptations, sweeping romantic dramas, animated comedy, or high-octane thrillers, Prime Video has your autumn entertainment fully covered.
