PS Plus Rewards: Sony Offering Free Spider-Man: Brand New Day Avatars

Celebrate Spider-Man: Brand New Day with Exclusive PS Plus Rewards

Following the massive theatrical success of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Sony is celebrating the milestone by treating PlayStation Plus subscribers to a special batch of digital goodies. Starting October 6, 2026—coinciding with the film's digital release on the Sony Pictures Core application—subscribers will be able to claim a unique set of animated avatars featuring iconic characters from the movie, including Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Zendaya's MJ.

This initiative highlights Sony's continued effort to add extra value to its subscription tiers, bridging the gap between its cinematic blockbusters and the PlayStation ecosystem.

What's Included and Availability

The promotion includes a collection of six distinct animated avatars. Members will have a full year to claim them, as the offer remains active until October 6, 2027. While the avatars themselves are free, users must meet specific eligibility requirements to access the redemption page.

How to Claim Your Spider-Man Avatars

Unlike standard monthly games or cosmetic add-ons typically found in the main PlayStation Store section dedicated to PS Plus, these rewards require a slightly different retrieval method through the dedicated multimedia app.

• Ensure your PlayStation Plus subscription (Essential, Extra, or Premium) is active.
• Launch the Sony Pictures Core application on your PS5 or PS4 console (it can be downloaded for free from the PlayStation Store if you do not already have it installed).
• Log in using the exact same PlayStation Network (PSN) account linked to your active PS Plus subscription.
• Navigate through the app to locate the "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" avatar promotional offer and follow the on-screen instructions to redeem them.
• Once claimed, head over to your console settings under Profile > Edit Profile > Avatar to equip your new look.

Can You Get Them Without PlayStation Plus?

For fans wondering if these exclusive cosmetics can be obtained without an active subscription, reports suggest that purchasing the digital version of the film directly through the Sony Pictures Core application may also grant access to the rewards. However, players are advised to wait for the official launch on October 6, 2026, to confirm all acquisition details.
