Top Picks to Stream Tonight

2026 MTV Video Music Awards (Paramount+) The music industry’s most electrifying night is finally here. Hosted by the legendary Snoop Dogg, this year’s ceremony promises a spectacle, headlined by a highly anticipated opening performance from Madonna, her first on the VMA stage in over two decades. With pop titans like Taylor Swift securing nine nominations, the competition for the iconic 'Moonman' statuettes will be fierce. Whether you are tuning in for the musical mastery or the red-carpet fashion, it is an essential watch.

Lanterns Season 1 (HBO Max) If you prefer high-stakes storytelling, Lanterns is the show to beat. Starring Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler, this eight-episode DC drama masterfully blends the tropes of a superhero epic with a gritty, buddy-cop murder mystery. With showrunner Damon Lindelof at the helm, the series offers deep character development and a compelling dynamic between the veteran Hal Jordan and his rookie partner John Stewart. As we head toward the season finale, this is the perfect time to get caught up on one of the year's most acclaimed dramas.

A Tale of Two Cities (MGM+) For those craving period drama, the latest adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic on MGM+ is making waves with an 86% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. Starring Kit Harington as the troubled lawyer Carton and Mirren Mack as Lucie Manette, the series captures the tension of the French Revolution while delivering the intricate, character-driven storytelling expected of a Dickens tale.
