Xbox Free Play Days: 4 Great Games to Play for Free, Including Two for All Users

Discover the Free Play Days Lineup

Xbox owners and Xbox Game Pass subscribers are in for a treat as Microsoft rolls out another exciting batch of games through the Free Play Days program. Running from September 24 to September 27, this week's selection features four fantastic titles spanning multiple genres, ensuring there is something for everyone. Best of all, two of these games are completely open to all Xbox players, regardless of whether they hold an active subscription.

Titles Available for All Xbox Players

For this specific event, Microsoft has included two major titles that do not require an Xbox Game Pass subscription to access:

• PGA Tour 2K25: Dive into the latest entry of the premier golf simulation franchise, featuring exceptionally detailed courses, ultra-realistic physics, and a stellar roster of professional golfers.
• Tom Clancy's The Division 2: Ubisoft's acclaimed looter-shooter transports players into a post-pandemic Washington, D.C., teetering on the brink of total collapse. With years of post-launch updates, expansions, and upcoming DLC like Echoes of Central Park, it offers dozens of hours of rich campaign missions, cooperative gameplay, and tense player-versus-player Dark Zones.

Exclusive Free Games for Xbox Game Pass Subscribers

In addition to the open-access titles, active Game Pass members can dive into two additional experiences at no extra cost:

• The Escapists 2: A beloved indie strategy game where players must carefully plan, craft, and execute daring jailbreaks from some of the world's most secure prisons.
• Young Suns: A charming narrative simulation game supporting up to four players, focusing on terraforming paradise corners and exploring distant alien worlds.

How to Get Started and Keep Your Progress

Participating in the Free Play Days event is simple. Xbox users can navigate to the Microsoft Store on their console, search for the specific title, and download it instantly. Alternatively, players can initiate the download via the official Xbox website after logging into their account. A major perk of this program is that all in-game progress, achievements, and unlocked items are securely saved. Should you choose to purchase the full version after the trial period ends, you can seamlessly pick up right where you left off, often taking advantage of ongoing digital discounts.
