Xbox Game Pass October 2026: Full List of Confirmed Titles and Major Returns

As Microsoft continues to navigate a transitional period marked by corporate restructuring and strategic shifts, the Xbox Game Pass service remains the crown jewel of the gaming ecosystem. For October 2026, Microsoft has curated an impressive lineup that balances highly anticipated blockbusters with creative indie gems.

The Return of a Legendary Franchise

The highlight of the month is undoubtedly the arrival of 'Gears of War: E-Day'. Fans have been clamoring for a return to the roots of the series, and this prequel promises to deliver exactly that. By focusing on the origins of the Emergence Day, players will step back into the shoes of a younger Marcus Fenix, offering a visceral look at the moment the Locust Horde launched their initial assault on humanity. This title is set to be a cornerstone release for Game Pass Ultimate and PC subscribers.

A Diverse Selection for Every Gamer

Beyond the heavy-hitting action of Gears, the service is introducing a wide array of genres to satisfy every type of player:

• Double Fine's New Offering: 'Keeper' arrives on October 2, putting players in control of a sentient lighthouse exploring surreal, hidden realms.
• Indie Narrative & Horror: Titles like 'Forever Ago' provide a poignant, narrative-driven road trip experience, while 'The Seance of Blake Manor' and 'Terrible Lizards' cater to fans of supernatural investigation and high-stakes atmospheric horror.
• Strategic and Tactical Gameplay: For those who prefer depth, 'Beyond These Stars' offers a unique city-builder experience set on the back of a cosmic whale, while 'Valor Mortis' introduces a gritty, Napoleon-era inspired soulslike combat system.
