As the autumn chill sets in, the television landscape is heating up with a diverse array of new premieres and returning favorites. Whether you are looking for high-stakes drama, supernatural thrills, or gripping mysteries, this week’s lineup across major streaming platforms has something for everyone. Here are the six most anticipated shows debuting between October 5 and October 11.
1. NCIS: New York (CBS / Paramount+)
The legendary procedural franchise heads to the Big Apple. The story follows Sam Hanna (reprising his role from 'NCIS: Los Angeles') as he returns to his hometown of New York. Alongside the sharp-tongued Nick Schaeffer, portrayed by Scott Caan, the team tackles a complex case involving the mysterious death of a Navy reservist, blending classic investigation with the high-energy atmosphere of New York City. The series premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 9 p.m. ET.
2. Carrie (Prime Video)
Stephen King’s iconic tale of supernatural adolescence receives a modern adaptation. The series centers on a sheltered teenager named Carrie White, whose move to a public high school leads to a nightmare of online bullying and social isolation. As her mother’s control tightens, Carrie discovers latent telekinetic powers that transform her struggle into a dangerous, high-stakes game. All 8 episodes drop Wednesday, Oct. 7.
3. Below (Netflix)
If you are a fan of 'Jaws' or 'The Terror,' this is your essential watch for the week. Set in a remote, rugged coastal village in Newfoundland, the series follows fisherman Calvin Penney (Josh Hartnett) as he battles a mysterious sea creature threatening his community. When his son becomes caught in the fray, he partners with a marine researcher (Mackenzie Davis) to uncover the truth. The 6-episode series premieres on Thursday, Oct. 8.
4. Eternally Yours (CBS / Paramount+)
Blending dark comedy with supernatural drama, this series examines the domestic life of a vampire couple, Charles (Ed Weeks) and Liz (Allegra Edwards), who have been married for five centuries. Their monotonous eternity is interrupted when their daughter, Emma, brings home a human boyfriend, forcing the couple to re-evaluate their long-term compatibility. This quirky series debuts Thursday, Oct. 8 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
5. Avatar: Seven Havens (Paramount+)
The latest chapter in the Avatar franchise takes a darker, more apocalyptic turn. The story follows Pavi, a young girl who discovers she is the successor to the Avatar, in a world where humanity views the Avatar as a harbinger of doom. Alongside her long-lost twin sister, Pavi must navigate a shattered world of seven strongholds while being hunted by enemies. Episodes 1-3 arrive on Friday, Oct. 9.
6. Treasure Island (MGM+)
This is a bold, fresh take on the classic Robert Louis Stevenson novel. Starring Tom Sweet as Jim Hawkins and Hayley Atwell as his mother, Bess, the story follows their perilous journey across the Atlantic. With the legendary pirate Long John Silver (David Oyelowo) in pursuit, the series promises a tense adventure filled with betrayal and hidden treasure. The premiere airs Sunday, Oct. 11 at 10 p.m. ET.
