New OLED iPad mini, HomePod mini 2, and More Leak in Apple's Code

A new batch of unannounced Apple hardware has been discovered hidden within the company's internal code. The leak reveals images and details for an upcoming lineup of devices, including a fresh iteration of the iPad mini, the entry-level iPad, the HomePod mini 2, and a long-awaited refresh to the Apple TV 4K. Found by regular code sleuths, these references suggest that multiple new products could be gearing up for an official launch in the near future.

Apple TV 4K Refresh

The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K has surfaced in the company's code repositories. While physical design changes appear minimal—maintaining the familiar form factor of its predecessor—internal upgrades are expected to be substantial. Rumors point to the inclusion of a newer Apple silicon chip, such as the A17 Pro or higher, bringing increased RAM capabilities, support for Wi-Fi 7, and full integration with Apple Intelligence and Siri AI features.

Entry-Level iPad 12

Apple's affordable tablet line is also receiving a notable bump in specs. According to the code data, the upcoming entry-level iPad 12 will feature an A19 processor, an Apple-designed C1X modem, and a bump to 8GB of RAM. These hardware enhancements are primarily aimed at enabling support for advanced AI tools that previous budget models were unable to run.

Powerful iPad mini 8 Updates

Perhaps most intriguing for tablet enthusiasts is the appearance of the iPad mini 8 in the code. While early speculation heavily leaned toward the immediate introduction of an OLED display for the mini format, the newly uncovered code highlights internal components like a powerful A20 Pro chip, an updated speaker system, and a relocated landscape front-facing camera. Whether the rumored OLED screen makes its debut alongside these changes remains one of the season's most anticipated questions.

Colorful HomePod mini 2

Smart home fans have reason to celebrate as well, with the HomePod mini 2 appearing with color variations including white, black, green, blue, and a pinkish tint. Expected to deliver improved audio performance and a newer chip to handle advanced smart assistant tasks, this compact speaker is poised to expand Apple's smart home ecosystem.

All four devices are heavily anticipated to make their official market debut ahead of upcoming fall deadlines, alongside other potential hardware announcements from Apple.
