A quartet of unannounced Apple products has reportedly surfaced within company code, uncovering early details about a new iPad mini, an updated entry-level iPad, the HomePod mini 2, and a long-awaited refresh to the Apple TV 4K.

The unreleased hardware references were discovered by Aaron Perris, a regular contributor to MacRumors, who routinely digs through Apple’s operating system code to unearth upcoming product roadmaps. While the exact system files remain unverified, findings within internal software structures frequently point to hardware announcements on the horizon.

Apple TV 4K (4th Generation)

The code points to a fourth-generation Apple TV 4K. Externally, the streaming set-top box is expected to retain the same sleek physical design as its predecessor. However, internal upgrades are where the real changes happen. Rumors indicate it will pack a newer Apple silicon chip—ranging from the A17 Pro up to the A20—alongside increased RAM and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. These performance boosts will pave the way for full Apple Intelligence compatibility and advanced Siri AI features.

Entry-Level iPad 12

Unlike standard software string discoveries, references to the upcoming entry-level iPad 12 came bundled with specific hardware specifications. The code suggests the budget-friendly tablet will feature an A19 chip, an Apple-designed C1X modem, an N1 chip, and 8GB of RAM. Much like the Apple TV, these additions ensure that Apple's most affordable tablet will finally support local Apple Intelligence and powerful machine-learning features.

iPad mini 8

Intriguingly, the code references for the iPad mini do not explicitly highlight the long-rumored OLED display panel, though industry insiders still anticipate an OLED variant to debut soon. Instead, the code highlights an A20 Pro chip, a repositioned landscape front-facing camera, and a reworked speaker array. Transitioning to the A20 Pro chip would represent a massive performance leap over the current iPad mini 7's A17 Pro processor.

HomePod mini 2

The smart speaker segment is also set for a refresh. Code references point to a second-generation HomePod mini arriving in five distinct colors, including white, black, green, blue, and a new pinkish variant. Expected to feature a modernized chip and improved audio architecture, the HomePod mini 2 will likely integrate deeply with Apple's expanded smart home ecosystem and AI initiatives.

All four devices are heavily rumored to make their official debut ahead of October, potentially arriving alongside new M6 MacBooks and a brand-new smart home hub.
